Kasargod: Altercation over bathing in panchayat pond - Five hospitalised

Kasargod, Jun 29: A verbal friction that erupted over taking bath in a pond belonging to the panchayat at Palakkunnu turned into major confrontation. As a result, five persons who were injured in stabbing incidents were hospitalised.

Injured Jitesh (27) and Kabaddi player, Mallesh (25) from Palakunnu Aravath were admitted into a hospital at Mangaluru. Sujith (32), Abhilash (32) and Nishant (33) from the other gang were admitted into Chengala cooperative hospital.

The Bekal police who registered a case and began investigating the incident, said that all the injured persons are CPI(M) activists.
