Udupi, Sep 5: Former MP Vinay Kumar Sorake alleged that the BJP never favoured a woman excepting insistence of inductig Shobha Karandlaje into cabinet ministry.
He was speaking after inaugurating the convention of new women members of gram panchayats under Kaup legislative assembly constituency on Saturday September 5. Congress should oppose every blunder by the BJP, he said adding that BJP has more ministers similar to tainted Halappa.
State Mahila Congress general secretary Jayashree Krishnaraj presided. Ellur Higher Primary School headmistress Sharavati U R was felicitated on behalf of Women Congress on the occasion.
