Beltangady: Dr Veerendra Heggade Urges Teachers to Instil Confidence in Students

Beltangady, Sep 6: “Teachers should be engaged in continuous study and grow professionally. They should have the capability to equip their students to face life with confidence”, said Dr D Veerendra
Heggade, Dharmadikari, Sri Kshetra Dharmasthala.

Dr Heggade was speaking at the felicitation of teachers during the taluk-level Teachers’ Day celebrations held at Kinnamma Yane Gunavatiamma Auditorium, Guruvayanakere, on Sunday September 5.

“The grasping power of students has seen a steady decrease of late. Curiosity, thirst for information, and the ability to question is on the rise. Hence there is need for the teachers to keep abreast of knowledge”, said Dr Heggade.

He urged the teachers to nurture inherent talents of students and to guide them to progress. Dr Heggade said students should be groomed to be responsible citizens of our country.

MLA K Vasant Bangera presided over the programme.

Physical Teachers’ Association president Joseph, and block resource
person Somanath were the chief guests on the occasion.

Retired teachers and achievers were felicitated during the programme.

Tahsildar M K Pramila welcomed the gathering. Block education
officer K K Puttaswamy delivered the introductory address
