Mangalore: Twin-districts Experience Heavy Rains

Mangalore, Sep 7: Heavy, uninterrupted rains marked by a long interval in the evening, were experienced by Dakshina Kannada and Udupi districts on Monday September 6.

Agumbe in Shimoga district received the highest rainfall of eight cms on Monday. After a long lull in the evening, the rains resumed intensity at night, and continued to pour till Tuesday morning. Kollur received seven cms of rain, Kumta accounted for six cms, while other areas experienced around four cms of rain. No reports of loss to lives or property have been received.
