Udupi, Jul 11: District BJP submitted an appeal to superintendent of police (SP) Vishnuvardhan urging him to take legal action on former chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah for speaking in support of person who posted derogatory comments against the soldiers of the country.
The appeal submitted to SP by district BJP president Kuilady Suresh Nayak says, “A case is registered and investigation is under progress against Radhakrishna Nayak Hirgana, resident of Karkala in the taluk for allegedly posting derogatory comments against Indian soldiers and supporting enemy country Pakistan.
“Meanwhile, former CM Siddaramaiah, on his Twitter account has posted in support of accused Radhakrishna Nayak. Prima Facie it looks that he is cooperating with a person who has hatched plot to murder Indian soldiers and also involve in treason.
“We urge you to take legal action under IPC section 124 on former CM Siddaramaiah to helping in treason and instigating to commit treachery and publishing lies on social media,” he stated in the complaint.
