Mangaluru, Jul 11: A private bus driver and conductor attacked an auto-rickshaw driver here on Sunday, July 11. The incident is reported near Hotel Sai Suraj International.

It is said that a few passengers boarded an auto near Marigudi, Suratkal. But the auto was overtaken by a bus, and a conductor, bus driver assaulted the victim. The injured auto driver has been identified as Sudhakar, who has been in the profession for just three months.

Sudhakar has been admitted to Padmavathi hospital.

A case in this regard is registered in the Suratkal police station.

Outraged by this incident, the Auto Rickshaw Association demanded the arrest of the accused. They also threatened to hold protests if the guilty was not arrested.

According to the president of Suratkal Auto Rickshaw Association, Lathif, the auto driver Sudhakar suffers from heart-related issues and the attack has left injuries on his face.

    @ kujuma, kodial i agree with you, but this is NOT NORTH INDIA & we mangalorean's don't follow north Indian attitude, or culture whatever you said, don't say we are spinless we TAKE RESPECT & GIVE RESPECT + we are cool people but the new issue is our city is now groomed by mallus & elsewhere hence managlore is loosing its original culture.

    I know this Sudhkar Auto driver very well .He is my neighboure . Very soft guy & helpful. He & his job doesnt interfier in anyone's matter. The problem was he came in front of the bus & stopped little forward in front of the bus so the bus had to stop.behind .meanwhile another bus overtook.this bus auto picked up.passengers & went ..so.this bus which was behind the auto missed the passengers guys got angry & straight away went & hit him. So these These buys guys most are uneducated Bruits .

    private bus lobby in twin districts is the worst. Partly because of the coward public of these districts. I am born and brought up in mlore and know that our public is spineless. I have lived in calcutta for 6 years and if this kind of incident happens there the bus driver and conductors will be hammered to death on the spot. So enjoy being cowards and keep mum on all these kind of atrocities. keep on crying for beef and love jihad and vote third rated saffron party again and again.
