Mangaluru: Man arrested on charges of molestation, assault, robbing lady

Mangaluru, Jul 12: A man was arrested for allegedly molesting, assaulting and robbing a lady at a unisex salon.

The accused has been identified as Abdul Dawood from Attavar.

Abdul allegedly molested, assaulted and robbed Rs 14,000 from the lady at the salon in Kadri on July 1.

A case has been registered at the women police station regarding the same.

Abdul Dawood

The accused was produced before the magistrate and sent to judicial custody, informed police.

Dawood has been my senior in college and have known him from 2005. He comes from a good family as well as a strong finanacial background and is a man with good values and morals. He is a thorough gentleman. It's impossible that he can molest, assault or rob anyone. This act has been deliberately done and portrayed in this manner to damage Dawood personally and professionally.

Dear All, Dawood was my junior in college its hard to believe he has been accused of molesting lady and stealing 14k I don't think he will do this kind of act considering his behaviour towards his female staff And just for 14k why someone will ever do that as far as I know he used to own saloon and other business in mangalore and well to do, anyways police have to do proper investigation and if guilty should be punished truth shall prevail. I have known Dawood, my best friends husband for over a decade, he is truly a gentleman. He handles several salons all over this belt and behaves courteously with his staff and customers. The truth will Definetely be out. Lets stop jumping into conclusions and criminalising innocent people even before it is proven in the eyes of the law. Dawood is a man with family, two kids, mom, two brothers and a wife, the trauma they go through when they read these comments is terrible. Lets hear Dawood out too, lets hear his story too.

This complain seems to be complicated and without strong evidence. As per the so called molested girl, why the lady entered the unisex saloon when so many women saloons have opened in town. Something fishy here. I will not carry to the saloon, even Rs. 5,000 in my purse except credit/debit card, mobile. Unisex saloons always have women staff too.

These men can be imprisoned under section 294, and section 394 of the Indian penal code. This is just absolute falsified information. I've worked with Mr. Dawood and I personally know the man he is. He is respectable businessman and family oriented with a wife and kids. He is infact the owner of the unisex saloon spoken about here and there is a lot more to this story than what's said here. Mr Dawood is doing very well for himself and there is no way any of this took place especially for a mere sum of Rs 14000. The woman just wanted to defame him. Please stay cautious and be a better judge of the situation here.
