Mumbai, Jul 20: A book on late Padmavibhooshan George Fernandes by Surekha Hemanatha Devadiga titled ‘Horatada Moolaka Krantiya Kanasu Kanda Padmavibhooshana George Fernandes’ (Padmavibhooshan George Fernandes that dreamt of revolution through the campaign) was released at Ranade Bhavan, Kalina campus, Vidyanagar, Santacruz east on July 13.

Dr G N Upadhya who released the book described late George as a humane, far-sighted progressive thinker across castes and religions. The personality of George Fernandes is unveiled by the media, friends and authors like touching the heart.

Mumbai University Kannada department co-professor Dr Poornima S Shetty said that the author shared various faces, ups and downs, pro-people work as a labour leader and political leader of George Fernandes. She congratulated Surekha for having collected a lot of information about the late George Fernandes for the purpose.

Kannada department guest lecturer Dr Uma Rao, Kala Bhagwath, Shailaja Hegde, Prathibha Rao and Kannada department office assistant Reshma Mane congratulated the author.
