Mangaluru: 1.4 lac people from district provided with anti-Covid medicines

Mangaluru, Jul 22: During the Covid first and second waves, AYUSH department distributed anti-Covid medicines to 1.4 lac people from Dakshina Kannada, said district AYUSH officer, Dr Muhammed Iqbal.

He was speaking at a programme for distributing medicines which boost immunity against diseases to media persons from the district, held at Press Club here.

He said that during the second wave of Covid, people in home isolation were called every day and they were taken care of. AYUSH department also undertook post corona care, he stated.

Medical officer Dr Krishnaprasad, provided details of various tasks undertaken by his department during Covid waves.

Dr Muraleedhar was present. President of District working journalists union, Srinivas Indaje, welcomed and delivered introductory address. Harish Matukana presented the programme. Ansar Inoli proposed vote of thanks.
