Bengaluru, Jul 26: Karnataka on Monday, July 26 registered 1,606 new coronavirus cases.
As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 23,057. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 467.
As many as 31 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Monday, with Bengaluru Urban recording three deaths, the death toll in the state has risen to 36,405.
The state recorded 1,937 discharges from hospitals on Monday, taking the total discharges to 28,36,678.
So far, Karnataka has seen 28,96,163 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.
The positivity rate for the day stands at 1.40% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.93%.
As many as 2,90,68,655 people have received vaccination so far.
