Puttur: Konark Rai made MD of SASTRA that helps security forces

Puttur, Jul 30: Konark Rai from Puttur has been appointed as the managing director of Security and Scientific Technical Research Association (SASTRA). SASTRA is a national level organization that studies and conducts research to provide the benefit of modern technology for the security forces. It will also assist the national security agencies.

The appointment made by the central government has made people to sit back and take notice. The organization works under the union home ministry.

Konark is the grandson of former MLC, the late Kumbra Jattappa Rai and son of former Campco managing director, Pramod Kumar Rai and Shobha. He is a native of Kajemar in Kedambady village, Puttur taluk, and had studied in Alike, Bengaluru and Gujarat before working in Geneva.
