Mumbai: Surekha Hemanatha Devadiga receives Rs 25,000 prize for her thesis

Mumbai, Aug 2: Surekha Hamanath Devadiga, has received Rs 25000 cash prize from Karnataka state government department of Kannada and culture for her thesis ‘Devadiga Jananga ondu Adhyayana’ written for M Phil degree.

The book about the Devadiga race, background, living customs, celebrations, achievers and their organizations published in 2019 is reviewed by several critics and appreciated.

Surekha Devadiga hailing from Derebail Mangaluru Konchadi is currently a resident of Worli, Mumbai. She holds B Com degree from Besant women’s college, Mangaluru and has secured M A degree from the Mumbai university in 2016. She was conferred M Phil degree in 2019.

She has been residing in Mumbai for the last thirty years and is well known at the national level as a sports person.

Several organizations have felicitated her for multiple talents.
