Udupi: Madhav Kripa School Celebrates ‘Engineers Day’

Udupi, Sep 19: The 105th birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya, which is also known as ‘Engineers Day’, was celebrated by Madhav Kripa School near here, recently.

Dr H N Udayashankar was the chief guest on the occasion who garlanded the portrait of Visvesvaraya and spoke about the achievements of the great engineer.

The school’s head teacher Jessie Andrews was also present on the dais. Suraj, class VI student of Madhav Kripa School, was felicitated for bagging a prize in the Science Olympiad, recently.

Educational co-ordinator Dr Kusuma welcomed the gathering. Shashikala Raja Varma introduced the guests. Malini Rao proposed the vote of thanks and student Sumedha compered the programme.
