Mangaluru, Aug 5: Mangalore University vice chancellor (VC), Prof P S Yadapadithaya, stated that the university has been making preparations to hold examinations online, if the covid19 situation goes out of hand.
He was speaking at the university academic council meeting held on Wednesday August 4. "We have postponed degree and postgraduate examinations at the behest of the district administration. If the coronavirus infection situation aggravates, the university may have to conduct examinations online. We are making preparations for the same. A Pune-based concern has created software for the purpose," he explained.

Yadapadithaya said that the university plans to introduce digital evaluation system for which tenders have been invited. He informed that the university will be framing rules relating to introduction of diploma courses in different fields. He noted that the current system of individual rules for every field is creating confusions.
He revealed that the National Assessment and Accreditation Council has awarded B grade for the university. The university has requested the NAAC to review this data verification validation process, he revealed.
