Panaji: Russian citizen arrest for possessing 500 gram narcotics

Panaji, Aug 5: A Russian national was arrested, for possessing 500 grams of narcotics suspected to be charas, by Pernem police on Wednesday, August 4. The arrested person is residing at Kannakiwada, Morjim.

Acting on definite information, police inspector Jivba Dalvi arrested the Russian national Mark Smyslov and confiscated the drugs that were hidden in a rented car. The value of the confiscated narcotic is said to be Rs five lac.

The accused is in police custody now.
