M'lore: Sahitya Akademi to Host 'Kavisandhi' with Melvyn Rodrigues on Sep 25

Mangalore, Sep 20: National Academy of Letters popularly known as Sahitya Akademi has organized a 'Kavisandhi' programme with Konkani poet Melvyn Rodrigues on Saturday, September 25 at the Bishop's House, Kodialbail here.

The programme will be at 5:45 pm wherein the poet will recite some of his best poems, followed by an interaction session with the audience.

A poetry session, presided over by Melvyn Rodrigues, will be held on the occasion.

Poets Kavyadas, C G S Taccode, H M Pernal, Dimple Fernandes, Wilfred Lobo, Wilson Kinnigoli, Venkatesh Nayak, Richard Pais and Wilson Kateel will participate in this session.

'Raknno' Konkani Weekly is the co-organizer of the event.

Melvyn Rodrigues is the founder president of Kavita Trust, which works for the promotion and promulgation of Konkani poetry. He has published four books of his poetry collections besides editing five anthologies. Besides, he has published a novelite, a collection of essays and a translation work of short stories. Currently he is the director of operations, Daijiworld Media Pvt Ltd.
