Udupi, Aug 6: Defending Hindu organisations demand to set up National Investigation Agency (NIA) center in Mangaluru, Karkala MLA and newly-inducted minister V Sunil Kumar on Friday August 6 said, “Setting up NIA center in Mangaluru is a valid demand. In this regard I have spoken to Lok Sabha members and urged to take appropriate measures to set up an NIA center in Mangaluru.”

He further said, "Anti-national activities are being supported by various other organisations in the coastal area. We will not allow anti-national activities. Sseveral incidents have been reported till now. The link of the coast along with Syria has astonished me. We should condemn this. Those who support terrorist activities should be completely probed. I will discuss with chief minister Basavaraj Bommai in this regard. We will not allow such kind of activities in Karnataka.”

 

The minister also said that he will hold discussion with the deputy commissioner and other officers regarding the flood situation in the district.

    Mangaluru a cosmopolitan city, lies midway, in close proximity, between Bhatkal and North Kerala district.. both these regions are acknowledged as a torchbearers, for antinationals activities... DK district is no more an oasis of peace n tranquility.. Kudla is considered as a safe haven for these criminals, due to its strategic location which is crisscrossing with an international airport, sea port, railway n national highway... The arrests of ISIS modules, in its vicinity has raised alarm bells ringing. Therefore an NIA base is vital to checkmate enemies within and beyond our international borders !!!!
