Bengaluru, Aug 8: Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai eulogised India’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and described him as the architect of modern India.

The Chief Minister lauded the contribution of Nehru in the country’s progress after paying homage to independent India’s first Prime Minister on the occasion of reinstallation of Nehru’s statue in front of Vidhana Soudha, which had to be shifted on account of Metro underground rail work.

Bommai said Nehru was a close associate of the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi and other freedom fighters, who played a prominent role in building modern India and laid the foundation for the industrialisation of the country after gaining freedom from the British.

The reinstallation of Nehru’s statue in front of Vidhana Soudha and High Court has enhanced the Vidhana Soudha’s beauty and elegance, the Chief Minister said.’

Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr K Sudhakar, who is also the Medical Education Minister, and other officials were present.

While in general for the ruling Dispensation Nehru has become a needless bête. Noire .. If we go back in time Independence 1947 Life expectancy was below 35 years AVERAGE .. and many even less .... There might have been few living out but this was average Consider now around 68 .. in 2021 So progress because of scientific temper as coined by Nehru Building of dams .. indian inst of tech Other research Ins.. space .. various other heavy industrial units .. Steel .. machine building .... one has to remember world was destroyed after World war limited money etc In such a situation after horrors of partition to hold a country together Have elections although could have denied those days .. Multi culturism .. not biased in faith or belief.. encourage all ... Atleast in core attitude .. Today in the pandemic with so much of inputs available.. There are severe job losses .. dire economic situation no vaccines ..can go on .. Yes all not perfect but was always concerned...

Its very heartening to note that the CM, Basavaraj Bommai has rightly acknowledged and praised the contribution by our beloved First Prime, Jawaharlal Nehru towards a strong nation. Feku and RSS should learn from the CM instead negating credit to the Greatest Man of India. Dear PM please at least open your eyes now.
