Mangalore: Stephen Knapp of World Relief Network Extols Virtues of Everything Indian

Mangalore, Sep 21: Citizen Council Mangalore organized an interaction programme with Stephen Knapp at Karnataka Bank Hall in Kodialbail on Tuesday September 21.

Stephen Knapp, an American, is one of the finest thinkers in the world on Indian culture, philosophy, and spiritual thinking. He is the founder of the World Relief Network and Vedic Friends’ Association.

Knapp said that Indian systems of medicine like Ayurveda is a good in the modern world as it has no side-effects. He said that he likes to accumulate pictures of India’s Kumbha Mela as well as other aspects of Indian culture and put them online. In his tour of the country, he has learnt many things like ‘Vaastu’, astrology, meditation, and so on.

He said that Indian dance has been liked globally and is a part of global expression, as is meditation which is recommended globally to control stress and help people perform better. Knapp said that he explores India every year to know more about the nation and will upload pictures of his Indian journey in his site www.stephen-knapp.com for public viewing.

Bharath Shetty welcomed the gathering while general manager N Upendra Prabhu presided over the function.

Airport director M R Vasudeva, Powereon Electro Engineers M D Bhaskar Devasya, as well as advocate and syndicate member M K Suvrath Kumar were among others present.

    It was really very nice."Dharma" is not religion.Especially our young generation should rethink about their aim in life.We must unite,forgetting all our small differences like caste,state and languages."Bharath Matha" wants some thing of this kind from her sons.As Sri Nandanandanadasa said,let us join together in this
