Mangaluru: Mortal remains of missing youth found at Kotepura river estuary

Mangaluru, Aug 22: A youth who went missing two days ago at Netravati river at Ullal has been found dead.

The mortal remains of Hafeez, who went missing from Ullal, were found on the estuary of Kotepura-Bengre on the morning of Sunday, August 22.

Hafeez, a resident of Bastipadpu of Ullal, went missing on Friday, August 20. His two-wheeler was found parked near the Netravati river of Ullal. 

Hafeez, who was a daily wage labourer, had left from home on the morning of Friday. As he did not return till late night, the family members started searching for him.

His two-wheeler, slippers and mobile phone were found parked near the Netravati bridge on the morning of Saturday, August 21.

Ullal police, fire service personnel and local fishermen were carrying out a search operation for Hafeez. After relentless efforts, his body was found and retrieved.
