Hubballi, Aug 22: Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai himself allegedly violated the night curfew rule imposed by his government.

Sources said that the chief minister received petitions from people even after 9 pm. Later, on seeing the crowd, he went to a private hotel on the pretext of having dinner. Once he left the spot, the crowd dispersed.

People had gathered near the Adarsha Nagar residence of Bommai when they came to know that he had arrived in the city. Bommai received the petitions once when he came to his house.

Thereafter hundreds of people gathered and Bommai received petitions for a second time. But when he saw that the crowd was surging even after 9.30 pm, he left his residence on the pretext of going for dinner at a private hotel.

Speaking to reporters, Bommai commented on Anand Singh's dissatisfaction over his portfolio and said that he was in constant touch with him and the issue will be resolved shortly.

Bommai also expressed happiness over his visit to Hubballi, which is his native place, for the first time after assuming charge as chief minister. He said that he will speak to Jagadish Shettar and Prahlad Joshi with regard to the development of the city.

Police booked 300 + supporters of Congress Leader leader for voilating covid rules. Here, the CM himself has voilated night curfew. Will he be booked and only taken into granted. It seems rules are only for public and not for politicians. Being CM Bommai should have respected the rules which his Govt approved. We need clarification from CM on this issue. Rules are equal for everyone, let him be begger or CM.
