Kundapur: District administration turning blind eye to violation of Covid rules

Daijiworld Media Network - Kundapur (SP)

Kundapur, Aug 23: One wonders whether Udupi district has been deliberately overlooking Covid rule violations. People are surprised at the inaction of the administration even when the positivity rate continues to be around 2.5 and guidelines are blatantly being violated.

For example, in the name of Onam festival, students of ECR College near Kota indulged in fun and frolic on a grand scale. The college students threw all caution and corona rules to winds when exulting in celebrations.

It may be recalled that there was hesitation to conduct degree examinations because of the coronavirus status. But ECR College where most of the students are of Kerala origin, did not care for the rules.

Even though as per rules people coming from Kerala have to undergo compulsory quarantine, fun and entertainment were in place on a large scale in the college as the district administratively closed its eyes to the happenings.

ONAM- The only festival in India which is celebrated by all religions. That's why Kerala is called as "God's own country". I am not a fan of Kerala or Keralites. But I always pray that, let no one divide this state and people in the name of religion. Hope the whole India had this mentality and our politicians could have agenda of development and equality rather than religion and reservation. If politicians can gather crowd and our own PM can be happy in West Bengal looking at massive crowd, why to cry for this small crowd filled with happiness????

Onam celebrations happened on a grand scale at BJP office udupi by Mahila morcha members. Where was our District Administrator when it happened? Law makers and law breakers are the same in udupi district. Common people are still following rules but not the politicians.

Who is following COVID rules ? Marriages and functions are happening in grand scale everywhere without any norms, local authorities who is supposed to action are hand in hand with "VIPs" in their area. People make fun of those who are wearing mask. And same people will cry and curse govt & demand compensation when there is a lockdown.

*The whole world wants to malign Malayalis.* *The news that Mallus drank Rs.487 cr. worth liquor during Onam is completely wrong.* They drank only liquor worth Rs.162 cr. The rest was *TAX* 😀
