Sr Theresa Crasta reaches Delhi from Tajikistan, expected to reach hometown soon

Daijiworld Media Network - Kasargod (SP)

Kasargod, Aug 24: Sr Theresa Crasta has reached New Delhi from Tajikistan on Tuesday August 24, where she had flown from Kabul.

She was taken to Delhi in a special flight along with about 25 other Indian passengers.

Sr Theresa from Bela Periyadka was serving in Kabul for the last three years.

After the Talibani take over, she was stranded in Afghanistan.

It may be recalled once the news of her being stranded in Afghanistan was out, Sr Theresa, speaking exclusively to Daijiworld last week, had informed that she was safe.

RSRB, Kundapura - Helping people in need is a punya (good deed) always. I have very very bad real life experience of Kuwaits Invasion by Iraq but those soldiers were bit consideration for Indians because of India's then foreign relation with Iraq. War and cross firing, panic, uncertainty, small children and fear of death. I have no words to express but we were destined to happy ending.

BY DR AMBEDKAR ------ For in India, bhakti, or what may be called the path of devotion or hero-worship, plays a part in politics, unequalled in magnitude by the part it plays in the politics of any other country. Bhakti, in religion, may be a road to the salvation of the soul. .................... But in politics, Bhakti or hero-worship, is a sure road to degradation and to eventual dictatorship.

"When Modi Govt. Does Good Hamanatarian Work Piddis say Yeh Toh Uska Kaam Hai" Why raising Modi so high ? It's the duty of the government to commit for the evacuation and other duties of its Nationals abroad, through countries Embassy and Foreign Ministry help diplomatic or Financial. Please talk politics when required. All the other countries fulfilling their commitments and responsibility in a positive way. Our duty to thank our leaders/government. ,

Dear Flavian Sir, Your last sentence mentions "thanking leader and government". And of course, Modi is our leader and he is running the government. Though you did not tell Modi, your words like "leader" and "government" indirectly praising Modi. And I appreciate it.

First thing ( on Taliban approaching KABUL) --the Govt has done is shut its embassy in kabul and packed off - leaving citizens to manage themselves and endure all uncertainties - hardships etc --- if we check numbers hardly one or two thousand flight arrangements had to be done - KABUL to DELHI is not a long distance flight- or nearest indian city -- We had back channel talks going on with TALIBAN - can check these reports from last one year - Overall a failure despite Bombastic stmts -- NO PRESS CONFERERENCE ETC BY ANY GOVT OFFICIALS - ONLY MEDIA REPORTS - LIKE A DEER FACING HEADLIGHTS THERE IS A PARALYSIS_---------- --------------------------------------------------------------- Gulf War even though there were strong sentiments - India managed to take help from various channels - incl Saddam - and then Foreign minister IK GUJRAL made visits etc - back channel talks-- It was a tough task as America was invading KUWAIT after takeover by Saddam - MR GUJRAL PERSONALLY VISITED KUWAIT UNDER VERY TOUGH CONDITIONS to ensure smooth passage - many well to do indians also supported along with MEA - TO remember 170000/ - One lakh seventy were brough back --

Hope people can read ambassador Bhadrakumars .. assessment He was in Kuwait and at the time of indian evacuation He was sent to Kuwait under difficult conditions.. It was not certainly a cake walk .. on going war ...... He has assessed on Afghanistan Our abrupt closure etc etc The Taliban 2.0 as such not out and out aggressive In fact has cooperated in evacuation.. Otherwise a brutal regime would ‘ve had different results .. This is present situation ... However no clue next month onwards

Even in case of Iraqi invasion India was the first country to close the Embassy in Kuwait, as per Saddam's orders to shift all embassies to Baghdad. FM Gujral visited Kuwait via Baghdad after his meeting with Tareq Aziz, then FM of Iraq. Situation in Kuwait was quite different than what is happening in Afghanistan today. Iraqi soldiers had orders not to commit atrocities on the common people.
