Mangaluru: Voters’ list revision in progress - Draft roll on November 1

Mangaluru, Aug 25: The work of pre-revision of the voters’ list will be continued till October 31. The draft voters’ list will be published on November 1. Objections and claims will be received from November 1 to 30. They will be disposed of on December 20. On January 5, 2022, a new final voters’ list will be published.

In Dakshina Kannada district, assembly constituency-wise voters’ registration officers and assistant registration officers have been appointed. Assistant commissioner, Dr Yatish Ullal (Phone 9482326262) has been appointed as registration officer for Beltangady, Puttur and Sullia constituencies. For Moodbidri, Mangaluru city (north), Mangaluru and Bantwal constituency, assistant commissioner, Madan Mohan (9972356999) will be the registration officer.

Tahsildars, Mahesh J (9902434583), Anita Laxmi (7042976487) and Ramesh Babu (9480168864) have been appointed as assistant registration officers for Beltangady, Sullia and Puttur constituency. Tahsildar T G Guruprasad (9845285151) will be the assitatant registration officer for Moodbidri, Mangaluru city north and Mangaluru assembly constituencies. City corporation revenue officer, Vijaya Kumar (9448177302) will be the assistant registration officer for Mangaluru city south constituency. Bantwal tahsildar Rashmi happens to be the assistant registration officer for Bantwal.

Documents needed

Two passport size photos, age record (should have completed 18 years as at January 1, 2022), school certificate, birth certificate, Aadhar card, passport, SSLC or PU marks card, PAN card etc. Residential documents like ration card, gas cylinder receipt, electricity bill, bank passbook copy, passport, driving licence, rent agreement etc.

Forms

For addition of names - proforma 6. NRI s have to fill proforma 6 A to include their names in voters’ list. Proforma 7 is for removal of names from the list. Form 8 A has to be submitted if the residence has been changed within the same constituency, a release said.

To check mistakes or discrepancies if any, the office of the voters’ list registration officer or assistant registration officer can be visited or polling booth officials can be contacted.
