UAE, Sep 29: Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, will soon launch flights to Bangalore, its eighth destination in India and 66th destination worldwide.

On January 1, 2011, Etihad will commence a four-flight-per-week service to Bangalore. Etihad will begin daily flights to Bangalore at the commencement of the summer scheduling season effective March 27, 2011.

This is a welcome move. However Bangalore is well-connected to UAE. It would have been better if Etihaad launched flights to Mangalore which would benefit travellers from Mangalore to fly beyond Abu Dhabi.

Appreciate if Etihad or any other airline starts flights Doha - M'lore as we have only Air India Express. When compared to Emirates or any other airline Air India Express is NOT cheap, facilites are very very bad..... food provided in the flight is filthy.. plus via Bahrain !!!
