Karnataka records 1,224 new covid cases, 22 deaths reported in last 24 hours

Bengaluru, Aug 25: Karnataka on Wednesday, Aug 25 registered 1,224 new coronavirus cases.

As per the bulletin released by the state health department, the active cases in the state stand at 19,318. Bengaluru Urban's single-day tally stood at 309.

As many as 22 deaths due to coronavirus were reported in the state on Wednesday, the death toll in the state has risen to 37,206.

The state recorded 1,668 discharges from hospitals on Wednesday, taking the total discharges to 28,85,700.

So far, Karnataka has seen 29,42,250 positive cases since the start of the pandemic in March 2020.

The positivity rate for the day stands at 0.62% while the case fatality rate for the day is 1.79%.

As many as 3,82,70,708 people have received vaccination so far.
