Mangaluru: Positivity rate sliding - Health department to serve notices to colleges

Mangaluru, Aug 26: Covid positivity rate, which had registered an upward trend for the last two days, came down to 2.04 percent on Wednesday. With a rise in the number of tests, positivity rate had also increased. On August 23, the district had a positivity rate of 2.69 percent, which had further gone up to 3.27 percent on August 24.

In the meanwhile, the health department, alarmed by the increase of coronavirus infection among college students, has decided to investigate and issue notices to colleges which have failed to adhere to coronavirus guidelines.

Out of 627 students from 29 colleges who tested positive in Dakshina Kannada district during the last two weeks, 327 belong to Kerala. The others are from Dakshina Kannada and other districts and states. Seventy-seven students of a private college in Sullia were found coronavirus positive during the recent three weeks.

The primary and secondary contacts of these students are being detected. Many students who bring RT-PCR negative certificates are turning positive after the quarantine period.

    Most of the cases of common cold, flu, other corona viruses were detected and getting added as Covid 19, by these RTPCR tests? That's why most got recovered without any symptoms? I have seen several posts of you here on this forum.. some biblical and some scientific should I assume that the vaccines provided for Covid are not actually curing the people but inducing more disease in them? If so there are several crores of people who have taken that worldwide and very minimal people have got side effects..What you have to say on that? please enlighten me in the scientific or medical manner

    The fact of the matter remains that despite taking the vaccine there is no foolproof guarantee that you won't be infected. Even in medical colleges social distancing has gone for a toss. They have called back students for exams , in college may be they are maintaining distance but college buses are jam packed. Most of them have this attitude just because I have taken the vaccine I won't be infected. Most of the students and staff walk in the campus without masks. At the end of the day it's the students and faculty who have to suffer with covid. The management is least bothered. They are happy that they have got the fees. There is a need of continuous checking by health officials. One thing all should realize only if you have life , you can have education or else it's of no use.

    Vaccines are not failure....Virus is not virulent.People ar dying not because of covid 19.But people are dying due to wrong treatment and late admission to hospitals.Wearing mask and healthy diet and workouts are the only way to save lives.Proper treatment, healthy diet and workouts will decrease mortality.

    Kerala, right time to test during this rainy, normal cold and flu season. If these murky RTPCR tests are free, subsidized or cheap or a must for travel, which look like catching any viruses not only common cold and flu, past and present but also future corona viruses more likely to have increased numbers of cases or false positives. Globalist elites want this for more people to go for their live virus containing vaccines so more cases or more business for them. They only sponsor and finance these tests it is not surprising as global covid cases meter will be ticking also the fear brainwash by their agents.

    Covid is everywhere in Mangalore and DK. People. Go to hospital if they have breathlessness. Otherwise they just take panandol or go to local physicians. There is no quarantine for 14 days. Within 5 days people start going out and spread the virus. Lot of people who are vaccinated also got covid but recovering fast as per reliable source.

    Foolishness, Administration must issue notice to 1) SALOON. 2) GYM. 3) PEEK HOUR MORNING AND EVENING CITY BUSES. 4) COLLEGES. Control these first,then automatically Corona virus will come down. Our health department must very active, otherwise 3rd wave will be dangerous to Mangalore. Because outside students and business people are visiting here daily.
