Mangalore: Tiny Tots Steal the Show at 'Baal Angelore 2010'

Mangalore, Oct 3: On the occasion of the patrons’ feast, the CLC association of Guardian Angels Church, Angelore organized ‘Baal Angelore 2010’, a smart kid contest at the newly inaugurated church hall on Saturday October 2.
In all 23 children between the age of 3-5 years enthusiastically participated in the event with the constant encouragement and cheering from their parents.
The judges for the contest were Bridgith D’Silva, Jacintha Veigas and Precilla D’Souza. The following kids were chosen as the winners of the contest:
Baby Ashvitha Monalisa D’Souza won the title of Baal Angelore 2010. Baby Raichal Castelino and Baby Sweedal Jyothsna D’Souza were the first and the second runners-up respectively.
Various cultural programmes like dance, comedy skits were also organized for the entertainment of the audience.
The function was presided over by Fr Stany B Lobo, Angelore parish priest. The guests of honour were Fr Gration Alvares, assistant parish priest, Jossy D’Souza, vice-president and Robia Vas, president, CLC diocese.
Anup D’Souza, president, CLC, Angelore welcomed the gathering. Marina Lobo, secretary, CLC extended words of gratitude. Annette Bennis hosted the formal and cultural function and Sherin Walder hosted the smart kid contest. With the able leadership of Anup D’Souza, president, CLC, Angelore and constant help and support of members, the programme was a grand success.
