Bengaluru: Yediyurappa pressuring CM to accommodate son Vijayendra in cabinet?

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Sep 9: Reliable sources claim that former chief minister (CM) B S Yediyurappa, has been lobbying hard for a cabinet berth for his son, B Y Vijayendra. This has caught the CM, Basavaraj Bommai, in a bind. He reportedly met BJP national president, J P Nadda, at New Delhi on Wednesday September 8 on this issue. It is said Bommai travelled to Delhi twice in this respect.

The CM is under pressure to fill the remaining four vacancies in the ministry at the earliest by including Vijayendra and three others. Yediyurappa himself is said to be spearheading a campaign to make his son a minister. But the national leaders are not prepared to permit cabinet expansion now and because of this reason, the CM was not given time to meet Nadda during his previous Delhi visit. When Bommai took up the issue with Amit Shah, he reportedly had asked him to discuss the matter with Nadda.

Sources said that the aspirants want to join the ministry before the next session of the assembly begins on September 13. It is said that the names of Vijayendra, Basanagouda Patil Yatnal, C P Yogeshwar and Raju Gowda are being considered. The CM, it is learnt, wants to keep a vacancy unfilled to accommodate former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi, it is said.

If BJP criticizes Congress party & Gandhi fly as dynastic politics how Yeddeurappa can think of accommodating his son in the cabinet. Rules are made to follow and not to break for selfish motto. That is double standard.

What do the elected members who have had their governing power through election from the voters of democracy think? Is this their right to think who should be the minister or the voters should collectively endorse such decisions. The powerful businessmen and the corrupted leaders decide on the fate of this democracy. Our sincere educated citizens should stand united at this hour!
