Mangalore, Oct 9: City mayor, Rajani Dugganna, said at a press conference held here on Friday October 8, that Louise E Jackson, mayor of Delta city in British Columbia Canada, will be leading a team to the city, on October 12. This visit has been arranged in connection with the ‘twin city’ programme through which the two cities have shown willingness to have a tie-up.

She said that during the said visit, a mutual agreement will be signed on behalf of the two cities. “The delegation will comprise chief administrative officer of Delta, George V Harvey, and executive manager, Manjeet Kaila. The delegation will arrive here on October 11, and will visit the city corporation to meet the people here and hold discussions. In the afternoon, the team will visit Canara Chamber of Commerce. On October 13, the delegation will go to Manipal, apart from visiting Udupi Sri Krishna Mutt. After paying a visit to Infosys centre here on October 14, the team will return,” she explained.

Deputy mayor, Rajendra Kumar, leader of the opposition, D K Ashok Kumar, former mayor, M Shankar Bhat, city commissioner, Dr K N Vijayaprakash and others were present at the press conference.
