Mangaluru: Mortal remains of young woman found in Netravati river

Mangaluru, Sep 12: The body of a young woman was found floating in river Netravati. Fishermen of Ullal rescued the same from washing away into the sea and brought it to shore at Hoige Bazaar.

The mortal remains found are that of a woman aged 30 to 35 years. She is wearing trousers and a t-shirt. Whether it is suicide or death by any other reason needs to be confirmed after investigation by the police.

A fishing boat which was returning after fishing in deep sea first saw the mortal remains of the woman floating in the river on the left side of the river near Mangaluru fishing port. They immediately informed Ullal Uliya residents who were doing traditional fishing in small boats. Immediately, two fishermen went to the spot where the body was floating and brought it to shore at Hoige Bazaar.

Prem Prakash and Anil Monteiro are the ones who were in the boat that fished the mortal remains of the woman washing away into the sea.

Pandeshwar police visited the spot and undertook investigation.
