Panani: Six fishermen were rescued by Drishti lifesavers off Baga coast

Panaji, Sep 16: On Wednesday, six fishermen were rescued from drowning by Drishti lifesavers at Baga beach.

A group of fishermen aged between 25 and 30 were at sea near Baga beach when their boat hit a swell.

The fishermen in a state of panic, jumped into the water, and the current began to pull them further into the sea. Mangesh Gawas, Drishti supervisor rushed to the scene with a jet ski and recued three fishermen safely.

Drishti lifesavers Babaji Ankush Naik, Prathmesh Mahale and Kiran Pawar rescued the other three with the help of a rescue tube and board, Drishti reported saying.
