Mangaluru: CODP's Sneha Mahasangha celebrates Nativity Feast

Mangaluru, Sep 18: CODP ® Mangaluru promoted Sneha Mahasangha Fajir jointly organized the feast of Nativity of Virgin Mary on September 16 2021.

Fr Vincent D’Souza, director of CODP offered Holy mass and preached Mother Mary is our role model of life.

After the Mass, stage programme was held in Fajir Church hall. The program was presided over by Fr Anil Joyal DSouza, parish priest of Fajir Church. In his presidential speech, he encouraged the Self Help Group (SHGs) members to avail various government schemes which would cause development in their life.

Chief guest Fr Vincent D’Souza said that if there is co-operation, unity and sharing attitude among SHG members, then any work will be successful. Therefore team spirit is very important he mentioned.

Mary Fernandes, president of Fajir grama panchayat gave the information about MGNREGA schemes.

On this occasion certificates was distributed to the members who had attended the tailoring course organized by CODP.

Mother Mary’s birthday was celebrated, followed by fellowship meals prepared by the SHG members by using organic vegetables.

Sneha Mahasangha president Lavina Danthi welcomed the gathering, vice president Barnard proposed the vote of thanks. SHG member Anil Lobo compered the programme.

CODP coordinator Rita D’Souza and animator Gulabi Monteiro were present for the programme.
