Udupi, Sep 27: The Bharat Bandh call given by various organizations to register popular protest against the agricultural acts passed by the union government on Monday September 27 failed to get a good response in this district. Businesses, private, city, service and Karnataka State Road Transport Corporations are being operated without any disturbances.

On Monday morning, some organizations led by CITU have planned a jatha protest in the city. Police personnel have been deployed in strategic places to make sure that huge crowds do not get formed.

Shops dealing in vegetables, provisions etc are open and doing business as usual.

Various organizations and political parties staged peaceful protest in Udupi. As seen in above pictures transport buses are at standstill, no movement of people and vehicles. Protestors peacefully marched from Jodukatte to Ajjarkad not to cause any inconvenience to ordinary people. Jai Kisan Jai Jawan. Death to 3 Farmer’s Laws.

Dear All, Imagine a situation. You have accumulated all the savings for a 2 nights trip to Singapore. You land one evening, take rest for the evening because you have planned extensively for the next day. Next morning you come to know there is bandh, you will have to stay in the hotel whole day. Next day you catch the flight back home. What message you will spread about that country? There are many ways to protest against the government without troubling anyone. Protests need not be the ones we carried out against the British before independence. I have seen protests in European countries, processions in preplanned routes with heavy police presence so that none of the tourists or citizen is troubled. For that matter, I am against any bandhs or harthals.

Why will udupi people support the strike of some middle men broker lobby aka congress. We all know there is no issue in the farm law. Sensex croseds 60 k ( I myself have been hugley benefitted since I started my SIP from 2015) , No food shortage, Awesome vaccine performance, DIrect Farm Subsidies , Stunning Progress in Fintecth(India is top 3 in the world), UPI etc etc. Keep Cribbing BJP all the weay till 2035 . Jai Jawan Jai kisaan !! Bandh karo .They are not listening to peoples voices n forcing black laws onto farmers. But the issues are with real farmers. They still depend on brokers in between farmers and vendors. Days were gone , when farmer used to lease the cultivation land from landlord and cultivate it as per season. We family members voluntarily help elders for agriculture activity. From ploughing, cleaning vegetables under some flowing water and finally to loading the vegetables to early morning city bus... Thanks Indira Gandhi to declaration law . Then real farmers status changed . Many lands were converted in farmers name and we were happy with this . But those struggling days resulted in giving fruits and enjoying now.. I like the law made by Indira Gandhi not to sell agriculture land

In Karnataka everyone knows that the people of mangagala ooru and Udupi have turned completely communal and they support or majority supports only saffron party...they dont see anything else...so it is quite natural that this strike is against besharam Janara Party means they wont support. for the same reason ghatta people dont give a damn to issues of these districts...Tulu is still not made official language of Karnataka in spite of several campaigns as benglauru mein twin districts ko koi gintha nahin hai...MLAs of these districts are given useless portfolios just for name sake..
