Kadaba, Sep 27: It is said that a woman was raped by police personnel of Kadaba station. After she became pregnant, it is said, he managed to get the pregnancy aborted. After his illicit sex life became common knowledge, thanks to social websites, Puttur assistant superintendent of police visited Kadaba police station and put together information about the now infamous story of the policeman.
The information about the policeman's misadventure are being actively circulated with the question from whom can the people in distress and facing injustice approach if the police personnel indulge in such acts instead of helping the people. It also says that because of a handful of such crooks, the entire police department is forced to hang its head in shame and therefore those involved should be punished so that it becomes a warning for those who think of committing such crimes.

The websites claim that the policeman had raped a lady living nearby. Once he came to know that she had conceived, he made all out efforts to cover up his involvement and took her to hospital and saw to it that she underwent abortion, it is said. Reportedly, those coming to the police station seeking help are targetted by the said policemen. He tries to trap ladies visiting the police station seeking justice because of problems like family feud, husband's misbehaviour etc.
The person concerned, it is said, continued with his vice, even after the station house officer of Kadaba, who came to know of the man's story, called the man to his chamber and advised him to mend his ways. A viral video of the policeman urging a media person not to publish any report about him after he came to know that his story was about to become public, has also been uploaded in the social website.
Puttur assistant commissioner of police, Gana P Kumar, reacting to the incident when speaking to media persons, said that he is aware of the incident. He said that steps will be taken if the aggrieved lady or the members of the public file a complaint duly mentioning the names of the concerned.
