When will the Babus understand that they are appointed to serve citizens who pay for their living. We must move away from VIP culture and treat the citizens like VIPs. It's shame that it takes the President's visit to repair roads in the city.

Our Modi Bhalths will make this as a big occassion. Actually it has no relevance in reality at all other than of his overnight stay in Mangalore city. That's all. Who cares what he eats for breakfast, lunch or dinner! Yes for one man, the roads are beautified else in reality, tax payer local citizens have to use pot-holed roads!. This can happen only in India. P.M or the President or all our Ministers are like God in this country and our people/citizens bereaucrats, police and local administration is a puppet in following this unwarranted tamasha! Can't these expenses can be used make good our city's welfare and developmental public works???

i dont think president will be allowed inside the Shringeri temple as he is not from the upper caste...only because of his security may be he can go with confidence...otherwise what happened recently to a Dalit is still etched in everyone's memory.. He is made to eat veg during this tour probably due to the shakha protocol to promote brahminism..ijjerda epala kaithin kori uppu...

It would make more sense if he visits Sringeri directly from Mysore by helicopter, Since he does not have official work in Mangalore. Unnecessarily roads will be closed and traffic stalled. Only silverlining on his visit would be no powercut and potholes free roads where he travels. Remember the rest of the roads will remain as before. Mera Bharath Mahaan.

For the next few days it's going to be a miserable time for all living near the airport roads. Police don't even allow you to park the vehicles in the car parks in front of your establishments. First of all business is so poor and over that we get harressed. Please take him in a helicopter around so that common people can at least do their day to day work peacefully.

And what really is a President's significance other than being a puppeted rubber stamp on bills he has very little critical say in? It's more prudent to skim the government of its redundancies and focus on the nation's citizens.
