Panaji, Oct 8: AICC observers along with Chidambaram, former union minister, will visit Goa for five days starting from Saturday, October 9. This is the first visit of such kind by the senior leaders of Congress after Luizinho Faleiro, MLA of Navelim and former CM quit the party and joined TMC.
Dinesh Gundu Rao, incharge of Goa will accompany Chidambaram in their tour of various constituencies of the state as per the information given by vice president of state M K Shaikh.
The Congress has invited other like-minded parties to form an alliance with them for the forthcoming elections. On Monday both Gundu Rao and Chidambaram will hold a meeting at Siolim and Mandrem followed by a meeting at Aldona and Mapusa on Tuesday. Party workers of Mayem and Tivim will be met by the duo on Wednesday.
Executive committees of Youth Congress, Mahila Congress, NSUI and Seva Dal will also meet the duo during their visit. In addition, they will also have discussions with the office bearers of the state Congress and department heads.
