Puttur: Bakery owner killed after truck rams into bike

Puttur, Oct 10: In a tragic incident, a young man passed away after his bike collided with a truck here on Sunday October 10.

The deceased has been identified as Azeez, owner of Golden Bakery in the town, and resident of Balnadu Pallikere.

The accident occurred when a truck carrying fertilizer rammed into Azeez's bike.

According to the complaint filed by Abdul Khader, a pedestrian and eyewitness to the accident, the complainant was walking towards his shop at Balnadu Vinayaka Nagara at around 8 am. When he reached a little ahead of Ullalti Complex at Balnadu, a truck, which was being rashly driven was approaching to Ujrupade from Puttur side, hit Azeez's bike, who was known to the complainant.

The bike fell due to the impact of the accident and Azeez fell underneath the wheels of the truck. 

The truck which caused the accident was being driven by Sudhakara Shetty. 

Abdul Azeez was rushed to government hospital of Puttur where the doctors confirmed his death.

The complainant has requested the police to take stringent action against the erring driver of the truck. 

The mishap occurred when Azeez was riding towards his shop in the morning.

A case in this connection has been registered in Puttur police station.

    Every second Day, somebody is ramining into somebody , resulting in one or more deaths, , Are these drivers are trained to ram into some body, issue Driving Licence only after candidate is fully eligible, in Mangalore every Tom, Dick and Harry are drivers, , I mean to say Aircraft Pilots, Charge huge fee for obtaining and training, , issue Licences only for eligible candidates

    Andrew Mangalore,sure only when one is eligible candidates licence should be given.What when many of them get only with money?I heard many of them or most of them dont even go to practice but only issue without.Everyone claims they know ,but in practice ,fail to follow rules ,rush .Mostly these trucks are simply murderers.How many bikes ,and bikers are fallen prey to their fast rush?Tragic.May his soul rest in peace.Heartfelt sympathy to his family.
