Oct 12: DK reports 27 corona cases, Udupi adds 13 infections

Mangaluru/Udupi,Oct 12: Dakshina Kannada on Tuesday , October 12 reported 27 new coronavirus cases. The case positivity rate for the district stands at 0.38%.

As per the district health bulletin, a total of 19,64,337 samples have been tested so far, out of which 18,42,345 have turned out to be negative.

The total number of positive cases in the district has risen to 1,14,919 out of which 405 are currently active.

As many as 64 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday , taking the total number of recoveries to 112841.

The death in the district on Tuesday is 3. The death toll in the district so far stands at 1,673.

The district administration has collected Rs 1,07,12,370 in fines for 88,196 mask violations.

Udupi

As per the district health bulletin, as many as 11,69,044 samples have been tested for the second wave of coronavirus.

As many as 13 new cases were reported on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases to 76,527 out of which 83 are currently active.

A total of 20 patients were discharged from hospitals on Tuesday, taking the total number of recoveries to 75,970 for the second wave.
