Mangaluru: Auto rickshaw driver ends life by jumping into river

Mangaluru, Oct 19: Sathish Poojary (32), who was an auto rickshaw driver in the city, jumped into the river from Gurpur bridge on Monday October 18.

Poojary was earlier operating a fast food shop on push cart at Ganjimath junction. He was residing with wife near Ganjimath-Malali cross.

On Monday, he arrived at the bridge from Kaikamba, parked his scooter on the bridge and plunged into the river below, an eyewitness stated. It is suspected that he was weighed down by family problems.

The Bajpe police are searching for Poojary's mortal remains with the help of locals.

    In local associations or organizations these people are burdened with some responsibilities of enhancing the image of party & RSS. Ultimately to boost their image .     We can expect more similar cases in near future. This is all due to major crooked play of RSS. They are utilising these lower cast hindus for the purpose of spreading hatred among fellow citizens. Ultimately these foolish followers neither have job or any other sort of decent income to support thier families. Hence they find way to end owns life. desperately.

    Due to demo, GST, etc most MSME businesses have closed down permanently or on verge of close. Those subsisting on daily wage are in dire straits; economic breakdown is one of the main reason for the recent spate of suicides. Whenever the financial condition of a family is strained all sorts of problems arise between husband and wife. DK has not seen so many suicides in history. Our economy is doomed. Along with financial crises, depression, anxiety, drug addiction starts which adds fuel to the fire. Suicides are unavoidable in such cases as nobody is going to help you, and counseling is useless. The less said the better. Just see around Mangalore, how many shops have downed their shutters?

    Very sad & disturbing situation to see that our youngsters are ending lives on a daily basis for the reasons only best know to them. It looks like we are on the track to become the number one nation of the world in suicides. Sorry state of affairs all over the country but our Netas are busy in securing the power to rule at any costs. Where are all these Karaniks, Pumpwells, Borewells, Fireball Ranis and so on.... busy in cooking hatred soup.........?????

I am sure that this person committed suicide only to save his self respect, but it shud not have happend.     The word family means standing for each other and be there for economical and mental support. Then there is society that lends its hand in whatever way it can to protect the families. Today, the situation is absolutely different in most middle class families. Individuals struggle hard, there are members of families itself drag them down with nagging, pointing fingers, fighting for nothing etc. They lose the first line of crucial support. Society is more or less a place to brag on wealth and it is a formation on spendability. A person with decent economic condition, when income comes down, they find themself alianated from society, nowhere to go. Feel this is the main cause of raising cases of sucides these days.

A trail of circumstances, including family history is taken into account in case of suicide cases.It is become a fashion of sorts to write essays here on matters of suicide by having one's own presumptions and asumptions. Needless exercise when you do not know the full story.You van always maintain that suicide is never an option or solution. Pray God to take care of the departed soul.

Poor people canot run abroad to save themself. But still people not realising the effect of electing faku promises government.
