Mumbai, Oct 22: The mortal remains of a young woman was found in a flat in Vasai in a highly decomposed state.
The woman is around 20 years of age. As a foul smell was emanating from the flat, the neighbours alerted the police. The mortal remains were sent to JJ hospital for post mortem examinations. Police informed that the young woman must have died a week ago. Injury marks are found on the body of the deceased person.
Next of the kin of the deceased are informed of the death. A case of murder is registered. Cops have launched a manhunt for the man, who is said to be the victim's boyfriend.
