Karkala: Kannada group song programme held at birthplace of yesteryear poet Muddanna

Karkala, Oct 29: A programme of Kannada group songs was held by the department of Kannada and culture, Karnataka state government as part of ‘Matad Matad Kannada’ campaign under the leadership of V Sunil Kumar, Karnataka minister of Kannada, culture and energy at Manjarapalke Bolas Agro Private Limited company. The programme was held at Nandalike, the birthplace of famous yesteryear Kannada poet Muddanna. About 520 company staff participated in the event held under the aegis of state and district awardee Abbanadka Durgaparameshwari Friends club.

Nandalike gram panchayat president Nithyananda Ameen, Udupi district panchayat member Reshma Uday Shetty, Karkala taluk panchayat member Pushpa Sathish Poojary, Kedinje Suryakanth Shetty, Dheeraj Nandalike, Bolas Agro Private Limited company’s Damodar Kamath, Rahul Kamath, Nandalike gram panchayat vice president Pushpa, members Prasad Shetty, Girish Shetty, Santhosh Shetty, Sudhaker, Padmashree Sathish Poojary, Yashodha Devadiga, Sujatha Rakesh Kotian, Annapurna Gangadhar, panchayat secretary Sanjiva Poojary, Abbanadka friends club president Prashanth Poojary, convener Abbanadka Sandeep V Poojary, former president Rajesh Kotian, Abbanadka Sathish Poojary, secretary Suresh Kasrabail, joint secretary Pushpa Kulal, teasurer Veena Poojary, members Rajendra Shettigar, Ranjith Kalya, Namita Bola, Sushmita, Manjula, Nandita and others were present.
