We should respect policies and principles of temples, mosques and churchs while visiting them. More so, when visiting the religious places of other religions. Hence, clearly, the boys have done something wrong. Whether it was intentional or because of ignorance is not known. They could have been properly counselled and let off. There are different principles and habits in different religions. Muslims and Christians wear footwear inside the houses and even in some parts of their religious places, whereas Hindus don't. This is, however, not a serious crime and sending them to jail by the court appears to be little harsh as in many others cases where minorities are involved.

No harm in anyone entering the temple as EVERY CHILD BORN IN THIS WORLS IS A HINDU. Respect each other religion and don't hurt their sentiments. There need not be any security person sitting outside and instruct the visitor how to behave. We are in India and not in any third world country. Will they do Or will they allow others to do the same in their place of worship? Jai Hind, Jai Sri Ram.

What bussiness they had to enter temple premises wearing footwear. It is not a Museum. Even in masjid people remove their footwear before offering namaz. These people r intentionally doing these things to create communal disharmony. Also they do not believe in hindu faith. These people r funded by fringe elements. Govt has to take strict action against these people.

Every religious place has some rules and that has to be respected by whoever is visiting the place. There will be boards infront of temple "Please leave your footwears hear" in Kannada and English languages. You would have known this if you have ever visited temple. And do you think those youths where? This is a serious issue as it hurts religious sentiments. Such incidents cannot be entertained.

Why Dalit are not allowed to enter the Temples ? They also believe, respect and adore same God which the Hindus are practicing. God will judge you from your clean heart from inside and not external qualifications.

When you enter a temple, there is no provision to identify whether one is a Dalit or any other caste. Till date I have not seen a temple identifying the caste of the person while entering the temple. There may be some aberrations but there is no rule as such. had it been the case, temple authorities would have asked one to show caste certificate before entering temples.

Then why there is a special room for Brahmins to eat in a Udupi temple, that too by taking off their shirts so the Januver can be exposed and everybody can see that it is a brahmin eating with his fellow brahmins...if God is same, why temple food prepared by the adige bhattas has to be served in different room only for the brahmins?

Shivappa mangalore,it is not right what you say.just few days back I read in Daiji self ,Dalit was not allowed to go into temple to light a deepa.Must be a woman ?Whatever it is this difference is still there.Apart from it,my question is whether they went in with or without slippers, what was the casue to enter temple ,that too from other faith.?Desecration is of course to be noted.but reason is not yet there.Always respect the rules of other religion is my motto.

Keep security guards and close this issue dear Hindu Brethren. The religion must help us to live happy and peaceful life. This is not at all a criminal issue to deal with. Many things you do in India just to show that your capable. It doesn't show capability. Just because you are in majority, don't try to supress the minorities who are already being suppressed. Remember the bad face of life is everywhere. Build your hearts with true hindu religion which might lead you to live a short happy life. Everytime fight, criticism, murder, cruelty and all sorts of felonies will never uplift our values. WE HAVE BEEN SPOILED.

Young youths may be ignorant !! Here role of Police is very crucial. Wise counselling may be necessary if youths were really ignorant about the sanctity of the place. Overreacting and criminalizing such incidents may radicalize and harden young minds. We all know deep within something is wrong in our reaction to such incidents.

Dear TK Bhai.... In some Temples even devotees are not allowed inside garba gudi only priests are allowed... As you guys follow the rules of not wearing shoes inside Mosque, same way we too don't wear shoes/chappals inside temple... They were inside the temple and not temple ground. When everyone is following the system why are these guys so special. I am just thinking if the same offence was done by any Hindu guys entering with shoes inside, will you guys still ignore it as a small offences???

Bhaktas argument is based on common sense. If not all, in most of the houses (majority) no one wears shoe/chappal/sandal inside house. Even if they need, they would have a separate pair of footwear to wear inside house. Now, another logic is, temples are places of worship, they have their own sanctity, do's and dont's. Everyone must respect that, If you dont (have) respect, you better undergo relevant treatment.

Wonder why is it called desecration? Did they damage anything in temple? Of course they wore shoes and entered which shudnt have been done. Maybe they were not aware of removing shoes? But the purpose of their visit to temple must be enquired. If nothing fishy, they must be made to apologise for their act and left off.

Why would Muslims enter a temple ? That too from Ullal / Permannur in a temple of Karinje ? Don't they have temples in their area, if they really want to do that ? Is the booking based on the car number, the owners or relatives of the owner ? How come Ullal residents drive a KL registered car ?

What a banana republic India has become under Bharat Jalao Party? From picture this is just the entry of temple premises. So tomorrow if any minority enters any tourist attraction where a temple is nearby will he be arrested? Also if there is no signboard of " Remove your slippers" posted outside the temple then this Anand Nayak himself be arrested.
