Mangalore: Kadri Cricketers Celebrate Deepavali Meaningfully

Mangalore, Nov 7: Kadri Cricketers distributed rice and sweets to the poor families and meaningfully marked the Deepavali celebrations at a programme held at Kadri grounds on Sunday November 7. This is 6th year of the free rice distribution programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Congress leader and Udupi former MP Vinaya Kumar Sorake said it is awesome to see that youth organization involving themselves more and more in the authentic social service activities for upliftment of the society. Poor people may be financially deprived. But as they are innocent, god resides in their hearts, he added.
He also appreciated Star Nite, a musical evening event organized by Kadri Cricketers. Sorake also symbolically distributed five kgs of rice to each of the 300 poor families.
RJ Vishwas conducted the programme. Srikar Prabhu, BJP district secretary, Manohar Shetty, president of Kadri Cricketers and Suresh Ballal, former chairman of Mangalore Urban Development Authority among others were present.
