Karnataka police crack festival day kidnap and murder case; two arrested

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Nov 6: Karnataka police have cracked the kidnap and murder case of a 21-year youth in Bengaluru and arrested two persons in this connection, the police sources said on Saturday November 6.

Syed Tajammul Pasha (39) and Syed Nasir (26) have been arrested for the abduction and murder of Tarun, a student of hotel management.

DCP (West) Sanjeev Patil said that the accused worked for Mani, the father of the deceased. They took to crime to make quick bucks. RR Nagar police nabbed the accused on Friday November 5.

Tarun had gone out to buy crackers on November 1. The accused who were following him with a plan to kidnap, told him that he would get crackers at a cheaper price and took him to their sister's place.

There they tied his hands and plastered his mouth and face with a duct tape. They made him call home and demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lac. Tarun was however strangulated to death when he attempted to resist. They kept the body at their place the whole night. The accused had stacked the body inside a gunny bag and dumped it near Vrishabhavathi storm water drain on November 2.

Even after dumping the body, the accused made a phone call to Tarun's father and demanded Rs 50 lac for his release. After killing Tarun, the duo had placed demand for money in Hindi language. Police recovered the mortal remains in the morning. After killing Tarun, the duo had made rounds around the city and finally threw the body to the storm water drain at RR Nagar. These details were divulged by DCP of western range Sanjeev Patil.

Tarun's parents had lodged a complaint with Bharathinagar police station. A rag picker noticed the gunny bag with body and informed the police. After the body was identified, the police began the investigation and tracked and nabbed the culprits. Further investigation is on.

The accused confessed to the police that they kidnapped and demanded money as they wanted to take drugs.

The second accused Tajammul used to work with the father of slain Tarun. It is said that he also had financial dealings with his father.

San Mangalore,it matters little, but the art of crime. These two will not spare anyone ,any govt, but only they have no heart, but only think of money .They deserve no other punishment but only capital one.Matters less which religion the punishment orders.Find it heartless ,no feelings towards family, respectlos to throw body without thinking a second thought like thrash. So deal with them also same.May the soul of dead rest in peace.Even after knowing he is dead calling family for the money is absolutely disgusting and without feelings.

As long as the Govt. is backboneless these crimes will increase day by day. Apply Sharia Law to these ruthless people and hang them before the murdered body is cremated.

Correct. I fully agree with you, also religion should be practised at home, and inside places of worship, not on the streets.

It is time that people should learn self defense (and keep trishuls) which can be used to prevent kidnapping and murder. Bail should never be given in serious offences.

self defence only if someone attacks you from front...in this case the victim must not even have dreamt that he will be killed by the two accused as they were known to him...in such cases it is very difficult...I would request the father of the victim who is a rich guy to somehow get these culprits released on bail and get them taped and tied and killed in the same fashion...that would be fitting reply to what they have done..

If this is the true incident, the culprits should be shot dead without any mercy. Majority of the crimes are committed by youths.

Even i agree with what you are saying...but as you know it is not possible in our country..as we follow the democratic law...which will take its own....route from Kashmir to Kanyakumari...again i request public to be alert and dont believe anyone blindly...21 year old college student is killed in this manner..what drug addicts will do with adolescents and children is unimaginable..be alert and as far as possible guard your children as the gap between the haves and have nots is increasing after 2014..rich people like ambani and adani are becoming richer and commoners like me and you are becoming poorer...elections are fast approaching and the obvious choice is the most secular party of India Congress or AAP...

Majority of the crimes are done by piecefuls. i do not intend to force you to believe me on this. Do your own study of the number of crimes and match it with ratio of population. it will give you a telling story.

That's what I meant But you nailed it at the right point. But only a few people spoiling the name of the community. Be it majority or minority, should be treated with the same punishment.
