Mangaluru: Degree classes, pre-primary, Anganwadi set to begin as per NEP

Mangaluru, Nov 8: The new academic year as per the National Education Policy will begin for the year 2021-22 from Monday November 8.

All the degree classes except B Com and BBA will begin on Monday. As the valuation of answer sheets of B Com and BBA examinations pertaining to the previous year is now on, these classes might begin on November 12, sources said.

Vice chancellor of Mangalore University, Prof P S Yadapadithaya, said that out of 61 courses, curriculum for all the courses had been finalised except six. He said that curriculum for the remaining courses have also been completed and everything ready for the opening of the colleges.

Anganwadi and pre-primary classes also will begin on Monday. Initially these classes may be open from 10 am to 12 pm. Till further instructions, nutritious food will be given at homes. After two weeks, depending on the situation prevailing, food will be provided in the centres themselves.

From Monday onward, LKG and UKG classes have been instructed to open from 9.30 am to 3.30 pm. Classes have been decorated and the centres are eagerly awaiting the arrival of tiny tots.
