Pejawar Swamiji meets PM Modi, submits petition with various demands

Daijiworld Media Network - New Delhi (SP)

New Delhi, Nov 9: Pejawar Math head, Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamiji, who also happens to be a trustee of Ayodhya Ram Janmabhoomi Theerthakshetra Trust, met Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi, on Monday November 8 evening at New Delhi.

The Swamiji was in Delhi to receive the 'Padma Vibhushan' civilian award announced by the Indian government posthumously for his Guru and predecessor at the Math, the late Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji. During the exchange of pleasantries with the Swamiji, the Prime Minister especially recollected his association with Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji.

Both of them then held consultation on the issue of the progress of the construction of Sri Ram Mandir. The Swamiji felicitated the Prime Minister on the occasion by placing the Yakshagana headgear on his head, draping a shawl around him and by presenting sandal paste and Nirmalya Tulasi twigs in the form of the Prasadam of Lord Krishna placed on a silver platter. An oil painting made by painter from Udupi, Vasanthalaxmi Hebbar in which the PM is seen standing with folded hands in front of Lord Krishna's idol at Udupi, and mementoes in which the name of Narendra Modi are carved in Sanskrit, Kannada and Tulu scripts, were presented to the PM.

Both Modi and Swamiji expressed happiness at this meeting. On this occasion, the Swamiji extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to visit Udupi during his current term as the Prime Minister and the PM asserted that he will be visiting Udupi.

The Swamiji gave a written petition containing four of his demands i.e., to implement cow slaughter prohibition act all over the country, freeing Hindu centres of faith from the clutches of the government control and making them autonomous all over the country, celebrating the birth anniversary of Maharshi Vedavyas either as 'Philosophical Day' or 'Spiritual Day' through programmes organized by the government, and including Tulu language in the eighth schedule of the constitution. Modi assured that he will look into these demands.

Pejawar Math Diwan M Raghuramacharya, D P Ananth and social worker Vasudev Bhat Perampalli who is close to the Swamiji, were present during the meeting.

In my view... padma awards to revered Swamiji's or Guru's or Priests etc., shouldn't given as they are beyond & above human strata.... they are known as part of divine domain....

A Nazreth and Sheriff F from Mangalore, I cannot agree with you more. Can I therefore expect you to agree that BJP was never communal, it was just another Congress managed in the back by the Babus who derive strength from permanence? No policy changed. Constitution was never modified through amendments since 2014 (Indira Gandhi did most ammendments). No....CAA was not constitutional amendment. Neither is Triple Talaq, and Article 370 related resolutions. Do you agree therefore that political parties are just PR firms of Babu's agenda? If you do, I would consider you among some enlightened and educated who are looking with binoculars and not confined to whims of Mullahs who have original interest in concentration of power and zero interest in the backing that which allows them to derive it.

Next Padmashree should be given to the current swamiji of Pejavar Matt. He is also a saint and forefront in protecting cows. He is close to Modiji. Hope in the next round Sri Vishwaprasanna Theertha Swamij's name will be considered for Padmashree. Meeting with Modiji is the first step...well-done .

Swamiji here knows where to go and whom to bank on for results. Unfortunately the minority communities heavily is dependent on rejected and ousted leaders whose heroics and power play is limited to ONLY press conferences .

RSRB, The petrol price should be very high, so that we can lit 9.5 lac diyas and the left over oil can be used by citizens of this country for cooking their food. The petrol price should be as high as 500 per liter as we need to build a central vista building costing 20,000 crores, Petrol price should even go beyond 500 as safety of our hon. PM and President is very important, we need to buy safest planes costing 8000 crores each.

RSRB, same poor people are paying more for bus ticket and double for vegetable, only because the transportation of commodities has risen because of high prices of petrol/diesel. Your security excuse applies only for the PM who uses crores of Rupees for his own security per day. The poor are perish of hunger each rising day, never more secure due to revenue collected from common man's petrol usage.

Late Sri Vishwesha Theertha Swamiji is one of the greatest saints in modern Pejawar Maths history and quite credit that he's been awarded the Padma Vibhushan. Its imperative that PM Modi will visit Shree Krishna Math in Udupi as this holy town was also the gateway to BJP securing its first ever Municipality in early 1980's. Also fondly recollect Dr Acharya

Ajantha, PM means Pracharmanthri. Everyone know who was on election prachar in west bengal, when poor people of Utterpradesh and other places were dying fron CoVid. And this PM was not visiting any single hospital or any medical facility even to just check the status , instead Was very busy in election rallies, gathering, di o di slogans etc.
