Third repair in the span of 10 days. Shows poor planning and implementation from the MCC. The second time they took up repair, my area got nothing but muddy water for 3-4 post repair. Can MCC in the name of Smart City planning stop troubling the people of the city already?

For the past two weeks residents in the highly populated Car Street and surrounding areas seem to be facing water shortage issues either due to the repairs at Thumbe Dam or the pipe breakage. While residents are most happy to co-operate while the jackwell repair progresses, can the concerned authorities also co-operate by ensuring water is released without interruption 2 days before the repair work and then similarly 2 days after completion. This will ensure that residents are not greatly inconvenienced by the repair work planned during the weekend.

Third time water supply disruption within 15 days. This shows the inability of the concerned officials to do periodical maintenance and supply water without any disruption.

to solve drinking water problem in mangalore/udupi concerned Authority must look into have seawater desalination plant at Mangalore same like in Gulf Countries have under Smart city project. This desalination sea water must be supplied to buildings (construction sites) and manufacturing units at mangalore through separate pipe line. this water can be used for toilet, washing utensils, washing cloths, shower etc. well water, borewell water and Thumbe vented dam water allowed only for drinking purpose.
