Washington, Nov 10 (IANS) A total of 99 people have been arrested and at least 69 minors were rescued in an anti-child prostitution operation in the US, a media report said.
The operation was carried out by the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) in 40 cities across 30 states, Prensa Latina reported.
FBI spokesman Jason Pack said the operation - dubbed Cross Country V - intended to stop the activities of procurers who were making a profit by sexually exploiting children.
Pack said that the highest number of victims - in the age group of 12 to 17 years - was detected in Seattle. The report, however, did not disclose the exact number.
