Puttur: Man video recording friend falls into rivulet, goes missing

Puttur, Nov 11: A person who went down to wash his face in Gundia rivulet at Barchinahalla near Uppinangady slipped and fell into the rivulet. He fell when trying to do a video recording of his friend, and went missing. The incident happened on Wednesday November 10.

The man who went missing has been identified as Seetharam (19) from Rajasthan. He was returning to Bengaluru after delivering spare parts of vehicles brought from Bengaluru. Seetharam went down the rivulet located near the highway, stood on a rock in Gundia rivulet and washed himself. He then began to video record the movements of his vehicle driver Dharamaram (30) when he slipped and went missing all of a sudden.

The locals and fire brigade personnel rushed to the spot after coming to know of the incident. Even though the teams searched for the missing man, they did not succeed. A missing complaint was registered in Uppinangady police station. The police said that the search operation would be resumed again on Thursday.
